SelExL Licensing

SelExL operates on a site based licensing model with two types of licence:

Standard License
This covers the installation of SelExL at one location for use against databases belonging to a single company.

Multi-site License
This covers the installation of SelExL at any number of locations within one country for use against databases belonging to a single company.

Examples

  • Company A installs SelExL on 6 machines at its head office for use against its own databases. This requires a single standard SelExL license.
  • Company B installs SelExL on 20 machines at its main data centre for use against databases owned by 3 different companies. This requires three standard SelExL licenses.
  • Company C installs SelExL on 50 machines across 6 locations within the UK for use against its own databases. Two machines at one location will also use SelExL against databases belonging to one other company. This requires one multi-site and one standard SelExL license.

SelExL Pricing

There are three different pricing tiers for SelExL. These tiers relate to the size of the company whose databases SelExL will run against.

  • Tier 1 (small) - Companies with up to 100 employees.
  • Tier 2 (medium) - Companies with over 100 and up to 1,000 employees.
  • Tier 3 (large) - Companies with over 1,000 employees.

SelExL is priced in Pounds Sterling, US Dollars and Euros and is exclusive of value added tax (VAT). Only purchasers from EU countries will be charged VAT. (Prices in both US Dollars and Euros are subject to periodic reviews depending on the prevailing exchange rates.)

A multi-site license is twice the price of the respective standard license.

SelExL Support and Maintenance

SelExL comes with standard support and an optional support and maintenance service.

Standard support provides:

  • Upgrades to new versions of SelExL at a discounted price relative to the current price.
  • Provision of bug fixes or workarounds for SelExL as available.
  • Email support only, covering general SelExL enquiries and issues.

Optional support and maintenance provides:

  • Free upgrades to new versions of SelExL.
  • Provision of bug fixes or workarounds for SelExL as available.
  • Telephone and Email support covering general SelExL enquiries and issues. Telephone support is normally available 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday UK time.

Optional support and maintenance is 15% of the appropriate current software licensing fee(s).
